Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering

Since its establishment in 1896 Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering has been an integral part of life in Aarhus. The school is situated on the waterfront of Aarhus within easy reach of the port of Aarhus, our numerous industry partners and local educational institutions. We are the largest Marine Engineering School in Denmark with approximately 1,000 students attending our 4½ year Bachelor Programme.

We take great pride in our high educational standards, our accredited status and our dynamic and maritime learning environment. We value our close connection with our students and continually support an array of social activities for both students and staff.

The Marine and Technical Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of an array of different technical facilities. These technical facilities can be found both offshore and onshore – aboard ships, in plants and factories – as well as in the sustainable energy sector. The primary task of the Marine and Technical Engineer is to ensure that the technical facilities and installations operate at an optimal level in respect of safety, operating economies and the environment.
